Elegantly simple without any unnecessary complication, the Uplock Key Carabiner is constructed out of only two pieces. A unique spring design creates two separate compartments so you can capture and secure your keys (and they won’t go anywhere when you open the carabiner).

    Behind the Name

    An uplock is a latch that holds the landing gear in the up position during flight on aircraft with retractable landing gear. The uplock latch prevents the retraction mechanism from having to withstand tremendous loads due to dynamic g-forces.
    Two Size Options

    The small size is a nice quick-detach key ring coupler. You can easily add or remove key rings to tailor your carry to your specific needs. The large size was specifically designed for belt-loop carry. There's plenty of room to easily hook your belt-loop!

    Engineered Design

    We challenged ourselves to design a two-piece carabiner with an integral spring and a hinge mechanism that doesn't require any pins or fasteners. A series of tab and slot interfaces allows the Uplock to be assembled easily, but not come apart in use.
